Kazakh specialists studied modern ore testing technologies in Uzbekistan

Specialists from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan exchanged experiences in mineral resource research, Kazinform reports, citing the Ministry of Industry and Construction.

As part of international cooperation, specialists from the Eastern Scientific Research Mining and Metallurgical Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals (VNIITsvetmet) learned about the scientific and technical approaches of the Central Laboratory of Uzbekgeologorazvedka JSC and the Analytical Laboratory Complex in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.

Particular attention was paid to testing ores and their beneficiated products, laboratory participation in proficiency testing programs, the application of modern methodological and technical solutions, and more.

Kazakhstani specialists shared their experience with their Uzbek colleagues in laboratory testing of mineral raw materials, the development and application of testing methods, the use of standard samples, and ensuring the reliability of results at the VNIITsvetmet Testing Center. This exchange of experience is aimed at improving the quality of laboratory work, ensuring the accuracy of analytical control, and the productivity of research in various industries.

– For a modern laboratory, it is important not only to have the equipment and experience but also to constantly benchmark its approaches against best international practices. "This type of professional exchange allows us to identify new technological solutions, improve internal processes, and strengthen our quality management system," noted Larisa Kushakova, Deputy Director for Applied Research and Testing at VNIITsvetmet, a branch of the RSE "NC CPMRM RK".

VNIITsvetmet's Test Center is an accredited laboratory facility whose team of specialists works to improve and implement testing methods in the fields of geology, mining, and metallurgy. Here, standard samples are created and certified. These samples are used to ensure quality control of raw materials and industrial products, verify the accuracy of analytical results, calibrate equipment, and perform metrological certification of methods used at enterprises in Kazakhstan and neighboring countries (Bakyrchik Mining Company LLC, Varvarinskoye JSC, VostokKhimLab LLC, Krisanalyt LLC, SGS Kazakhstan LTD LLC, CenterECOproekt LLC, ISO-Centerregionservis LLC (Russia), etc.).
