On June 12, 2026, a panel session “Modern solutions for processing mineral raw materials” was held in Astana as part of the 16th International Mining and Metallurgy Congress Astana Mining & Metallurgy (AMM) 2026.
The event brought together key representatives of the scientific community, leading mining and metallurgical enterprises and industry organizations in Kazakhstan.
The organizers of the topical discussion were the State Research and Production Association of Industrial Ecology “Kazmekhanobr” (Kazmekhanobr) together with the ALE “Republican Association of Mining and Metallurgical Enterprises” (AGMP).
The purpose of the session was to discuss innovative technological approaches, exchange advanced manufacturing experience and strengthen integration between science and production.
The panel session was moderated by Mukhanov Tulegen Muhanovich - professor, honorary miner of the Republic of Kazakhstan, advisor to the Executive Director of AGMP and Surimbaev Bauyrzhan Nurzhanovich - PhD, associate professor (associate professor), deputy director for scientific work of Kazmekhanobra. During the expert hearings, reports from Kazmekhanobra were made by the head of the laboratory of precious metals, Ph.D., associate professor Lyudmila Sergeevna Bolotova with a report “Development and implementation of technologies for processing gold-containing ores: experience and results” and the head of the beneficiation and semi-industrial testing department Era Mengukovna Li with a report on the topic “Modern achievements of the beneficiation and semi-industrial testing department for non-ferrous, polymetallic and rare metals."
Representatives of the country's mining and metallurgical companies shared practical experience in implementing production cases. Bauyrzhan Kucherbaev (AK Altynalmas JSC), Eric Beken and Darmen Rakhimov (West Gold Mining Limited Private Limited Company), Saken Shayakhmetov (Kazakhmys Corporation LLP), Malika Kozhakanova (Green Chemicals Kazakhstan LLP), Bauyrzhan Ermagambetov (Institute of Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence of Narxoz University).
