A meeting of leading research institutes and NC for the development of digitalization and artificial intelligence in the mining and metallurgical complex of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held

The U. Zholdasbekov Institute of Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering, a subordinate institution of the Science Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, hosted a meeting of the country's leading research institutes and scientific centers on digitalization, robotics, and automation, as well as the implementation of artificial intelligence technology in Kazakhstan's mining and metallurgical complex.

The meeting, chaired by Academician Amandyk Toleshov, Vice President of the National Engineering Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, was attended by Professor Bagdaulet Kenzhaliyev, Director General of the Institute of Metallurgy and Beneficiation, two-time laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Professor Dosmurat Aitkulov, First Deputy Director General of the National Center for Integrated Processing of Mineral Raw Materials of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Academician of the NEA RK; Zair Ualiyev, Director General of the U. Zholdasbekov Institute of Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering; and Evgeny Shavelnikov, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Deputy Director of the D. Kunayev Mining Institute; Alexander Lezin, Director of AspapGEO LLC, a manufacturer of domestic analytical instruments for the mining and metallurgy sector and a PhD in physics and mathematics, as well as a number of renowned scientists and industry experts, attended the meeting.

During the meeting, Lo Sai, a representative of the Shenyang Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, delivered an online presentation on "Research and Application of Key Technologies for Intelligent Mineral Processing," presenting modern solutions aimed at improving the intelligence of production process management. Following the meeting, the participants decided to develop a development concept for authorized government agencies in the application of digitalization and artificial intelligence in the mining industry, as well as to implement joint software and scientific innovation projects.
