SPECIAL REPORT: Rice Husk

A breakthrough in the creation of a silicon-carbon market. Thousands of tons of rice husks are produced in Kazakhstan every year. This plant waste is not susceptible to rot, which creates serious environmental problems. However, scientists at the National Center for Integrated Processing of Mineral Raw Materials have found a way not only to get rid of this problem, but also to turn the husks into valuable raw materials.
