The NC CPMRM RK discussed improving the efficiency of scientific research and new mechanisms for funding R&D

Dosmurat Kyzylbievich Aitkulov, First Deputy Director General of the NC CPMRM RK, Doctor of Engineering Sciences, Professor, and Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, held a regular working meeting with a group of leading young scientists actively involved in the implementation of scientific programs and projects.

During the meeting, the results of current research projects were reviewed and measures to improve their practical effectiveness were discussed. D.K. Aitkulov noted the high level of responsibility of the researchers and emphasized the importance of bringing the developed technologies to the implementation stage and subsequent commercialization.

Particular attention was paid to changes in the rules for funding research, scientific, technical, and experimental design work, which provide for the centralization of subsoil user contributions for R&D at a rate of 1% of production costs. The meeting participants discussed mechanisms for interaction with subsoil users, as well as a number of tools for the effective and targeted use of these funds for the development of science and the mining and metallurgical industry as a whole.

The discussion was also attended by the head of the project and program coordination department, candidate of technical sciences, associate professor F.A. Berdikulova, as well as the head of the science development department, PhD G. Maldybaev.
